PARIS ON THE LAKE. From May to October of 1893 the World's Congress Auxiliary of the World's Columbian Exposition met on Michigan Avenue at the newly completed facility of the the Art Insitute of Chicago. Designed by the Architects Shepley Rutan and Coolidge, the original Neo Classical structure has grown to nearly 1,000,000 SF and hosts some 1.5M visitors per year.
