THE PEOPLE'S PALACE The Chicago Public Library (now the Chicago Cultural Center) designed by Architect A H Coolidge of the architectural firm Shepley Rutan and Coolidge was completed in 1897. The library is home to the largest Tiffany dome in the world. Tiffany mosaics adorn the walls of the the Grand Staircase and Preston Bradley Hall. Another Tiffany designed dome overarches the Grand Army of the Republic Memorial Rotunda.
