EDUCATION. Art Institute of Chicago, Boston MFA, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, the Academie Julian.

+++ John Storrs, son of Architect D. W. Storrs was born in Chicago on June 28, 1885. The youngest of seven children, he graduated from the Chicago Manual Training School in 1905. He then travelled to Germany to study with Sculptor, Richard Bock. Later he studied with Lorado Taft at the Art Institute of Chicago, Bela Lyon Pratt at the School of the MFA in Boston, Charles Grafly at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fines Arts and in the Paris Studio of Auguste Rodin. In 1915 he married Maruerite Deville Chabrol, a correspondent for the Paris Temps. They settled at Mer, France, where they stayed, even during the Second World War. Storrs died in 1956. +++
