Henry Hering's pediment design at Severance Hall shows his clear transition from Beaux Arts realism to stylized Art Deco. The exteriror of the building, however, designed by the architectural firm of Walker and Weeks, remains classical. The pediment depicts two women, one with a harp and one with a lyre, separated by the pipes of an organ. Severance Hall is the home of the Cleveland Orchestra.
