The Lawyers Building was designed by the firm of Graven & Mayer in 1927.  Construction was completed in 1929.  The masonry clad steel structure houses 25 stories and is about 290’ tall.  Anker Sverre Graven and Arthru Guy Mayger both worked for the firm of Rapp and Rapp before opening their own office in 1926.  They are most known for their  theater designs, although the 100 N LaSalle building speaks to their capabilities as office building architects..
